LK-SEAL 290 is a high-performance oligomeric siloxane-based water repellent designed to provide long-lasting protection for a wide range of surfaces. Its deep penetration into porous substrates ensures excellent resistance against water, efflorescence, and fungal growth, while maintaining the natural appearance of the surface with a transparent, non-staining finish. Versatile in application, it can be diluted with common solvents or blended with other systems, making it adaptable to different project needs. Ideal for concrete, natural stone, plaster, tiles, painted surfaces, and other porous substrates, LK-SEAL 290 is suitable for both new construction and restoration work. With minimal dosage, it delivers durable, invisible protection without altering the original look of the surface.

Applications:

LK-SEAL 290 is designed to impart excellent water repellent to absorbent, porous, mineral-based construction materials such as:

  • Brickwork
  • Concrete (all types)
  • Aerated concrete
  • Sand-lime brickwork
  • Cement fiberboards
  • Mineral plasters
  • Natural and artificial mineral-based stone
  • Painted substrate

Test Methodology :

  1. Dilution –  Prepare a 9- 10%  LK-SEAL 290 solution in organic solvent ( Like- hexane, toluene, xylene, turpentine)
  2. Surface Preparation – Substrate must be dry, clean, and free from oils, dust, algae, or cracks.
  3. Application – Apply using airless sprayer.
    • Apply 2 wet-on-wet coats for best performance.
    • Allow 24 hours curing time.
  4. Precautions – Avoid application if rain is expected within 6 hours. Prevent direct contact and inhalation during use.
