Banana Crop Trials: A Case Study

In collaboration with a Government Agriculture University, Elkay Silicones conducted trials in august at the Hi-Tech Floriculture and Vegetable Project, College of Agriculture, Pune, to assess the performance of LK-AG100 used in nutrient additive during the foliar spray on banana crops.

Wherein eight treatments (varying doses) and three replications (control, LK-AG 100, and market samples) are used in a Randomized Block Design (RBD). The detail information is as follows:

All treatments included a mix of 0.5% Zinc Sulphate, 0.5% Magnesium Sulphate, and 0.5% Ferrous Sulphate, which were applied during treatment to enhance nutrient absorption and support crop growth.

Together, these nutrients support the banana plant’s growth, development, and fruiting, leading to healthier crops and better yields.

  • T6 (0.05% LK-AG100 at 45 and 90 DAP): 24% increase, 25 kg/plant, 76 MT/hectare
