Marigold Crop Trials: A Case Study
Elkay Silicones conducted trials In house farm location in Pune district, to assess the performance of LK-AG100 used as additive in nutrient during the foliar spray on marigold crops.
Wherein single treatments done at dosage 0.01% and three replications control, LK-AG 100, and market sample(Non silicone adjuvant) are used in a Randomized Block Design (RBD). The detail information as follows:
- T1: Nutrient water spray at 15 and 45 days after plantation (DAP)
- T2: 0.05% LK-AG100 in nutrient water solution at 15 and 45 DAP
- T3: 0.05% Market sample in nutrient water solution at 15 and 45 DAP.
Used Promicrobes Bio-NPK solition used as nutrient and apply dosage 5 ml per liter of water. This is a blend of agriculturally important microbial strains of nitrogen fixing, phosphate solubilising and potash mobilising bacteria.



Key Findings:
Over a 6-8-week period, significant differences in flower yield were observed between the three sections. The total yield and revenue comparison are summarized below:


Observations & Benefits:
The use of LK-AG 100 Adjuvant in foliar spray (Dosage: 0.05%) has led to exceptional results, driven by both a significant increase in flower weight and enhanced nutrient uptake. The silicone superspreader’s unique ability to effectively drive NPK into the plant and maintain its presence has maximized nutrient absorption, boosting plant performance. This key factor has directly contributed to a 38% higher yield compared to control and 13% higher yield compared to market samples.
