LK-7030

Silicone polyether Co-Polymer Surfactant

Introduction:

LK-7030 is a high-performance silicone polyether copolymer surfactant designed to reduce surface tension and enhance process efficiency across a wide range of industrial applications. One of the most unique application sulfur palletisation processing, LK-7030 plays a critical role by preventing adhesion of molten sulfur to processing equipment, enabling smoother pelletisation and improving overall safety and productivity.

Key Features:

  • Excellent Release & Anti-Adhesion
  • Surface Tension Reduction
  • Excellent thermal & shear stability
  • Suitable for versatile application
  • Increased operational efficiency
  • Maintenance Reduction
  • Allows for a uniform shape and dust free pastillization process

Technical details:

Application:

Sulfur pelletisation:

Sulfur pelletisation is a refinery process that converts molten sulfur into solid, easy-to-handle pellets or pastilles. This is done because molten sulfur is toxic, corrosive, and reacts with moisture to form sulfuric acid, causing storage and handling issues. Pelletising sulfur into solid hemispherical shapes improves safety, transport, and storage.

Application Method:
To use LK-7030, gently stir it into distilled water (pH 6–7).

Spray method: Use a 7–15% aqueous solution sprayed on the belt before the sulfur drop point.

Bath method: Use a 2.5–3% solution in a bath, applied with a roller before the drop point.

Dosage may vary based on the specific equipment used.

Benefits:

  • Easy to handle and enhances worker safety
  • Water-soluble with clear, stable solutions below 55–61°C (cloud point)
  • Produces high-quality, uniform sulfur pastilles
  • Acts as an effective release agent, preventing damage to pastilles and extending scraper knife life
  • Prevents clumping, ensuring free-flowing pastilles
  • Improves flow characteristics and reduces visible dust
