Introducing LK-Q1018: A High-Performance Silicone Resin for Extreme Conditions
LK-Q1018 Resin Intermediate is a Hydroxy-functional silicone resin available in flaked solid form, engineered to enhance the performance, durability, and visual appeal of coatings used in high-temperature and demanding environmental conditions. This resin is ideal for high-temperature applications due to its high phenyl content, which provides exceptional durability and maintains film integrity even after five quenching cycles at 650°C, each lasting one hour. It is air-dry at room temperature but achieves complete crosslinking when heat-cured at 180°C for 30 minutes. When formulated with inorganic pigments, it enhances the heat resistance, adhesion, and anti-corrosive properties of the coating, making it suitable for industrial and protective applications.
Key Features:
Reacts with alkyds, phenolic, epoxies, polyesters and other organic resinous materials containing hydroxyl groups.
Contributes to good thermal and weathering resistance
Exhibit good chalk resistance
Gives better shine and gloss
High-temperature finishes
Used in powder coating applications where improved weather ability and heat resistance
