LK-S119 25AS Defoamer

Foam Control Additives

Introducing LK-S119 25AS Defoamer

Excessive foam in industrial processes can lead to a variety of issues such as increased maintenance costs, reduced efficiency, capacity loss, and longer processing times. Introducing the LK-S119 25AS Defoamer, specifically designed to address and prevent these problems. This versatile product serves as both a defoamer and an antifoam agent, ensuring optimal performance across various applications.

Primary Applications:

The LK-S119 25AS Defoamer is ideal for use in:

  • Industrial processes
  • Chemical processing facilities
  • Wastewater treatment plants

Key Features:

  • Effective at Low Dosage: Requires only 15-150 ppm for optimal results.
  • Excellent Foam Knockdown and Long Foam Inhibition: Provides immediate and lasting foam control.
  • Broad pH Range: Performs effectively across a wide range of pH levels.
  • Chemically Inert: Safe to use without altering the chemical properties of your processes.
  • Easy to Dilute or Spread: Can be easily integrated into aqueous systems.

Physical Properties:

Applications:

The antifoam emulsion can be implemented directly without predilution with water.

Water Treatment Process:

Bulking sludge and foam are two undesirable, complicated, and unpredictable challenges for many waste water treatment plants. When the foam height is above a particular threshold, LK-S119 25 AS antifoam can be used as an intervention or added to the solution before foaming symptoms appear.
Not only can it efficiently eliminate foam, but because of its decomposable nature and chemical and biological inertness, it also doesn’t exhibit any negative environmental effects when used in the ETP.

Industrial Process:

In the manufacturing process of acetonitrile, LK-S119 25AS is used as a defoamer at extremely low dosages (100–200 ppm) to address the significant foam issue that arises during the distillation phase.

Chemical Processing Unit:

During the chemical reaction, foam generation as well as its stabilization are complex phenomena, and their efficient control is a mandatory operation to run the reaction. A condensation reaction is one in which two molecules combine to form a single molecule. A small molecule, often water, is usually removed during the reaction that may cause foam at high temperatures during the process. That particular foam is eliminated by using the silicone defoamer LK-S119 25AS at a lower dosage (50–100 ppm).
